  Several groups

The SE group's activities offer children and young people who actively dance the opportunity to develop purposefully by participating in events and competitions. Participation in all SE lessons is a prerequisite for participating in the SE group. In addition to the hours in your own group, there may well be more hours. The SE groups' activities are goal-oriented activities that are committed one year at a time. If necessary, the groups can be supplemented and new applicants accepted if places become vacant. Vacancies can be requested by the responsible group teacher. Any competition fees, performance and performance costs are paid separately. The teacher informs about these expenses during the school year.

Participation in the competition group presupposes

  • An active participation in the exercises (3x60min / week).
  • Participation in competitions. New competition groups participate in domestic competitions about 2-4 times during the first year.

Participation in the competition group causes costs such as

  • Own group practice lessons three times a week. The package price for the group's three own weekly hours is € 370 for the autumn term 2022 (special price for SU groups, normally € 405) and € 395 for the spring term 2023 (normally € 435).
  • Insurance. Each dancer must obtain insurance that covers accidents during exercises and competitions. The dancer has no insurance via Hurja Piruetti.
  • Uniform training suits around 100 € (training suit, shorts etc).
  • Representation suits around 150 € (training coat & trousers with Hurja Piruetti logo)
  • Competition fees approximately 10-20 € / per dancer / per competition and the participant's travel costs.
  • Competition suits. The costs for competition suits can vary, but it is good to prepare for the fact that costs arise for competition suits, shoes, etc. (A competition suit can, for example, cost 100 € per dancer and shoes 30-50 €, possible tights, etc.)
  • The parents of the SE group participants are happy to organize themselves for the acquisition of funds and other cooperation. At the beginning of the semester (August-September), a parents' evening is arranged, when the parents can agree on practical matters. You can also participate in the competition group activities by paying all costs yourself.

The participants in the competition group must take into account that they travel to the competitions mainly with their own transport. It pays to organize co-transport. If possible, we choose to participate in nearby competitions such as Helsinki, Turku or Hanko.
